Organization

The Society is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of community leaders. Directors are elected by the membership for a three-year term. Initial terms can range from 1-3 years depending on which class the Director is placed in. The Directors are further divided into three “classes” so that one-third of the Board comes up each year for reelection, which allows for continuity.

Officers are elected by the Board of Directors and serve for a one-year term that coincides with the Society’s fiscal year that runs from January 1st to December 31st. Positions include the Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.
