JASH is now accepting applications for the 2025 Hiroshima Peace Scholarship (HPS) program! This opportunity is for high school juniors who are passionate about peacebuilding and fostering connections between Hiroshima, Japan, and Hawaii.
Two scholars (one from a private school and one from a public school) will be selected to attend workshops in Honolulu, preparing for a summer trip to Hiroshima. There, they will explore WWII history, participate in commemorative events, and experience homestays and student exchanges. After returning to Oahu, scholars will share their experiences with their communities.
Japanese language is not required—students of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply!
Applications, including two teacher recommendation forms, must be submitted to the JASH Office via mail; fax; or online form byJanuary 24, 2025.
JASH is also looking for EDUCATORS interested in chaperoning this program!
