On March 8, 2024, Ambassador Kurt Tong, Chairman National Association of Japan-America Societies (NAJAS) delivered a compelling talk on the 2024 Elections and Policy Trends Impacting Japan and the Indo-Pacific at the Pacific Club's Card Room. The event was a resounding success, drawing a full house of approximately 40 guests.

During his presentation, Ambassador Tong highlighted the global significance of the upcoming elections, emphasizing that countries representing half of the world's population, including ten within the Indo-Pacific region, are poised to participate. This unprecedented electoral year is anticipated to encompass over 60 countries, featuring a spectrum of regional, legislative, and presidential elections, with Japan, the U.S., and the broader Indo-Pacific region being integral participants.
